Meatloaf without Milk Recipe

Here’s a meatloaf without milk recipe.  I’ve seen many meatloaf recipes that contain milk, and if you’ve read my previous post, I am lactose intolerant. I was surprised to see a lot of meatloaf recipes with milk. So it is possible to make meatloaf without adding milk. Trust me, milk is not necessary for a tasty meatloaf.

Meatloaf is one of my favorite foods, and it’s so easy and simple to make. When meatloaf comes to mind, I am reminded of memories as a child and being in the kitchen as I watched my mom make her meatloaf. She often mixed both pork and beef into her meatloaf. She added cream of mushroom, breadcrumbs and eggs as well as some carrots and onions to make her delicious meatloaf. I had the pleasure of mixing all those ingredients with my own bare hands. I love the feel of getting into your food and using your hands to meld all those ingredients into a tasty dish. It’s almost like becoming one with your food and infusing some TLC into it, which makes it even yummier. Don’t you agree?

Even if we didn’t have a loaf pan or dish, my mom would take a big piece of foil and shape it into a loaf pan. I used this DIY hack for a long time until I recently bought a loaf dish. So even if you don’t have a loaf dish or pan, you can still make the loaf pan out of foil.

What I liked about meatloaf leftovers was my mom would make meatloaf sandwiches for my brother and me for school the next day. She used white bread and spread mayonnaise on the bread and in the middle was the meatloaf leftovers. The meatloaf sandwiches tasted very good even though it was cold. I loved that my mom had creative ways to turn dinner leftovers into new creations for our school lunches. My friends would also ask to take a bite of my school lunches made by my mom with love.

I still enjoy the taste of my mom’s meatloaf, but I’ve also developed a meatloaf recipe of my own without milk or dairy. This recipe is super simple and doesn’t require many ingredients. Even though I did not add carrots or onions into the ingredients list, I will add them from time to time to mix up my meatloaf dish. So feel free to add your favorite vegetables into this meatloaf recipe.  Hope everyone enjoys this meatloaf without milk recipe. If you enjoy this recipe then try my Meatball Recipe.
