I’m so lucky that I live on Oahu and within driving distance of Hawaiian Garlic shrimp trucks. Whenever friends and family come to visit, I have to take them to eat Hawaiian Garlic Shrimp at Giovanni’s. Garlic Shrimp is all about the butter and garlic. The more garlic the better! You might have some intense garlic breath after but that doesn’t matter because garlic shrimp is amazing! The garlic breathe is totally worth it.

Garlic shrimp is usually cooked with the shell on, but sometimes you just want to eat the shrimp already without having to peel it!! So my recipe calls for shrimp that is already deveined and peeled, but it still has the tail on. The good thing about cooking this recipe at home is you won’t have to peel and devein the shrimp. Buy shrimp that is already peeled and deveined. No need to peel, you can dig right into your shrimp.
